Plymouth’s Cotton Kisses is not only soft, it’s economical. A single ball of this fluffy goodness is enough to knit a full baby sweater. The ball band contains the directions and inside the core of the ball you will find 3 little buttons that coordinate to sew on your finished project. A scant $14.99 is all it takes for this quick to knit little project that any new baby would be adorable in. Additional patterns are available too if you want to make something other than the henley on the band. Today we opened the box of new yarns from Plymouth. The new Kudo yarn satisfied my craving for a casual summer weight yarn that looks different than the other summer offerings. Now to decide what to knit with it. The drape is beautiful and the colors delicious. Three skeins will make a terrific summer shawl, or because of the gauge, nearly any worsted weight pattern should work. A shell to wear with a summer dress? A short sleeve tee to wear with jeans? Many exciting changes are happening at The Fifth Stitch. Our resident designer, Rebecca, worked with Roxy and I to redesign the store layout and install many new fixtures. Everything on the wall has been colorized and everything else is looking shiny and new. We still have a little bit to do, but you should make a trip to see the store! As you can see, the website is also receiving a major overhaul and we are going to now offer online sales so you can shop at night in your jammies if you want! The NEW Poems Sock has arrived from Universal Yarns. I’ve begun knitting upp a pair of socks for Al. It is similar to the Noro sock yarn but softer and without the hay.
